L’occassione fa il ladro
Following its recent popular production of Rossini’s La scala di seta, the DNOA returns to the Bredeweg festival with Rossini’s delightful farsa (comic opera) L’occasione fa il ladro. One of the five one-act operas written for the Teatro San Moisè, Venice, the work was one of Rossini’s most performed operas during his lifetime before falling into neglect after his death.
The DNOA production will be directed by Daniel van Klaveren (Artistic Director Theater Sonnevanck) and conducted by the young American conductor Benjamin Wenzelberg who is currently a second year student of the NMO.
A collaboration with the Bredeweg Festival.
